If you are
visiting for the first time, allow your eyebrows to grow
thicker, this will enable the therapist to create a more
precise and defined shape to suit your face. Threading is
kind to the skin, even those with various skin types who
normally cannot wax their facial hair can have this
treatment. The aftercare advice below should be adhered to. |
After
care:
Due to the pores
opening during the threading treatment, you may find the
skin a little red which really shouldn’t last for a long
time. At the end of your treatment our therapists will dab
some Aloe Vera or witch hazel cooling gel on the treated
area. This will enable the skin to cool down reducing the
redness and keeping it free of any nasty infections. We do
recommend for you to use this soothing gel at least twice
after every threading experience.
The hairs from the face are removed from the follicle,
leaving the pores on the skin open for at least 2 to 3
hours. We recommend not to touch the treated area. No
make-up should be applied; no sun beds or hot baths are
recommended. This is to prevent any bacteria from seeping
into the open pores causing infection.
Lash
Extensions:
To make the most out of your lashes avoid rubbing the eye
area, picking at the lashes, using oily makeup remover,
mascara and any type of lash curlers. This will not only
make them fall out but will also cause problems to your own
lashes. Your lashes should last between 7 and 14 days.
Appointments:
We offer a drop in service, but due to the high demand
queues can build up. If you wish to speak to any of our
therapist before arriving to ensure you get seen please feel
free to contact us. |

Brow
and Lash Tint:
Tint can last up to 6 weeks and works wonders for enhancing
the brows and tinting lashes is a great alternative to
mascara especially when going on holiday. Darker lashes also
adds the illusion of thickness and dimension which can be
the closest method to permanent make-up.
Note: Please come in for a quick patch test at least 24hrs
before treatment.
If a treatment is required without a 24hrs patch test, you
will be required to sign a disclosure which agrees for the
therapist to continue with the required treatments. M:ask
Brow Bar cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions
which may occur due to tinting or lash glue.
Upper
Lip:
The upper lip is the most sensitive area on the face and
threading may not be suitable for everyone, as this depends
on the individuals pain threshold. However, having your
upper lip threaded will reduce the chances of the hair
becoming thicker. Waxing this area can cause the lip shape
to change and also causes wrinkles around the lip line.
